| Dr.
Sigrid Trombley, Grants Specialist at Wichita Public Schools, posted the
following message to the Bring Home the Bacon listserv about the Let's
Write a Grant CD:
If you're serious about learning to write grants, you won't find a
better resource than the "Let's Write a Grant" CD that was
created by and is marketed and sold by Donna Fernandez, the list
owner/manager for our "Bring Home the Bacon" listserve. I've
been to numerous workshops (some VERY expensive), classes and conference
presentations (and done a few of my own) on grant development/grant
writing and honestly, none were any better than what you'll get from
Donna's CD and many pale in comparison. And the best part? The "Let's
Write a Grant" CD only costs $55 (includes shipping). That's an
unbelievable value. Your district should be willing to purchase this
resource, but if it's not, it's worth paying for out of your own pocket.
It's the best $55 a school grant writer can spend. By the way, this is a
great resource even if you're an experienced grant writer. I'd recommend
it to every list member.
If you want an even better bargain, you can also subscribe to
Donna's SchoolGrants Biweekly Newsletter (normally $45/year) but available
as a package with the Let's Write a Grant CD for $89.95. For more
information, go to the School Grants website:
http://www.schoolgrants.org/
and click on the "Let's Write a Grant" CD or Newsletters links.
[By the way, Donna hasn't asked me to post this nor does she even
know I'm doing so. My endorsement is totally my own.]
Dr. Trombley and Wichita Public Schools provide a great
deal of grant writing help on their Grants Central Station Web site at http://www.usd259.com/grants/index.html.
Take time for a tour! |
